LOVE ME BUTCH

Posted in bands with tags , on March 4, 2010 by jfbangud

Love Me Butch was formed in 1997 in Shah Alam, Selangor.

In 1998, they started to write original songs and released their first demo EP, Psychedelic Relic and toured the whole of Malaysia, gathering fan base in the underground scene.

In 2000, the band was featured in a local compilation released by Posse Records entitled Family Day with their first single Freefall. . The debut album, Enter Posthuman was released in Nov 2001. 5 months later, they shook the nation as they became the first independent band in Malaysia to receive an award in the Anugerah Industri Muzik (Malaysian Music Awards). They were the Best New English Artiste of 2002 and the album was also nominated for the Best Produced English Album and Best Engineered Album categories.

In July 2002 issue of TONE magazine, Love Me Butch was voted third in the TONE Urban Top 20 list.

They formed their very own indie label, One Armed Productions in 2003 to continue their musical odyssey. It took them about a year and a half to materialize songs that would be featured on This Is The New Pop which was produced by Love Me Butch themselves, and recorded at 101 Studios between Nov 2004 and February 2005. This Is The New Pop was released on April 2005.

Apart from the Malaysian release, they had secured international distribution in Singapore (Voideck Music), Japan (CR Japan), Thailand (IndyPop Records) and the Philippines (MCA/UNIVERSAL MUSIC), being the first Malaysian rock band to have penetrated the Asian music scene.

The song, Hollywood Holiday, is on the Malaysian Top Ten Charts for more than 4 months in one of the biggest radio station in Malaysia, Hitz.FM as well as received high airplays on X-Fresh FM and Red FM.

The band also released 2 music videos for the singles, “Reconcile” and “Hollywood Holiday”. The video for “Hollywood Holiday” was nominated at Anugerah Industri Muzik 2006 (AIM Awards) in the Best Music Video Category.

It is currently on rotation on MTV Asia which is broadcasted to Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand as well as local TV stations such as Hitz.TV, 8TV and TV3. It also debuted in the top 30 of the MTV Thailand International charts. As quoted by MTV Asia and 8TV, this video is the best music video ever produced in Malaysia. The video has started to receive airplays on MTV Japan since July 2006.

Love Me Butch was also on the number 1 spot for 7 weeks in one of Japan’s largest indie music website, www.audioleaf.com, something reminiscent to myspace.com and purevolume.com.

They organized their own tour, Sejenak Di Semenanjung Tour 05 throughout major cities in Malaysia to support of the album release.

They have toured in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Philippines playing to a crowd of 500 to 25 000 people. The band also opened for Simple Plan when they came to Kuala Lumpur for their tour, and had been featured in more high profile shows such as the annual Rock The World concert (they were featured in RTW2, 3, 4, 5,7), ESPN X-Games, The Quiksilver Revolution Tour, Blast Off Finals, Homegrown Finale Concert, The Rottwailers’ Convention, Lucky Strike F1 Street Party, Malaysian Independence Celebrations, New Year Countdown Celebrations, and numerous radios & magazines sponsored events throughout Malaysia. LMB was also featured at the FC Five Tour in Malaysia, playing 2 dates back to back with the hardcore punk band from Japan.

In October 2005, Love Me Butch toured across the city of Bangkok, playing 3 dates in Suansunanda University, The Rock Pub and Immortal Bar with Thai bands such as Brand New Sunset, Late, Housetrap, Outro and more. A few months later in March 2006, they were invited to play in Thailand again. This time at the Grand Pattaya International Music Festival playing at the MTV stage with Thai and international bands alike such as Sek Loso, Futon, Modern Dog, Rivermaya, 4gotten and Thaitanium. Then in May 2006, they played in Thailand again in an unplugged show, organised by their Thai fans. They attended the MTV Asia Awards show and after party, and played an opening set for Rivermaya at Cosmic Café, R.C.A.

one of my favorite track of “love me butch” is:

Hollywood holiday

Catching up with the silence,
Oh the silence of remembrance
Stop calling upon their names,
Not to wait for their call
And it’s all for good,
It’s all for good
Skipping all the pages,
Truth lies in this vacation
Went through a lot of trouble,
Just to get through the rubble
Apart from you, to be apart from you
I’d paint around my house for good
I’d stay with all my heart not for you
Can’t find it, once we leave it,
Leave it all for what

Well I can’t stay forever,
All at different phases
Oh what am I thinking?
This situation brought it down for what
What do I get from that?
There must be a reason

I could use some of your pillows,
I’m lying by the beach
With your shadow out of reach,
Shadow out of reach
Hey it’s all for good,
To be apart from you
I’d break all the rules not for you
Can’t find it,
Once we leave it all for what

Well I can’t stay forever,
All at different phases
Oh what am I thinking?
This situation brought it down for what
What do I get from that?
There must be a reason

Would you buy, would you save
For a Hollywood Holiday?
Satisfying as you say
It’s a Hollywood Holiday
Hey I can’t stay forever,
All day praying to be here
I cannot stay forever

Hate to be here,
Trying to steal
Your precious light for a second
Love to hate you, drive through,
Beneath you, scared to leave
You all I can

thankyou..

FRANCO

Penetrating into the music industry proves to be a challenging feat for new artists, but for the newest rock band FRANCO, the road to fame looks bright and promising, catapulting the landscape of alternative-rock off to a whole new level.

Not long after they broke into the music scene, the band has already managed to impress and capture the interest of various critics and audiences with their dynamic blend of smashing lines, throbbing beats and melodic sound. The undeniable musical talent radiating from each band member is insurmountable; hailing FRANCO as the Powerhouse band and the next big thing to watch out for in 2010!

FRANCO are no strangers to music lovers. Lead vocalist Franco Reyes is regarded as a musical genius, who, in spite of his enigmatic persona, speaks through the songs that he writes and performs. Other members include icons such as Gabby Alipe of Urbandub and Paolo “Ocho” Toleran of Queso on guitars, Buhawi “Buwi” Meneses of Parokya ni Edgar on bass, and JanJan Mendoza of Urbandub on drums.
The band is more than keyed-up as the year starts with a bang with the release of their latest self-titled album FRANCO under one of the major record labels – MCA Music. Featuring their single Castaway, their self-titled album under MCA Music has already been garnering raving reviews from various musical critics.

FRANCO – CASTAWAY
Step to the farthest side of my dreams
Be careful of what you might see
So careless inside I’m dying
Slowly
Sail into my widest dreams
Wrapped up like a littlelebum’s shoelace
High strung but I am trying
Hopelessly

[Chorus:]
On my own
Cast away
Trapped and caught in a dream
Darkened skies, tidal waves
But I am movin on

See through the hallowed eyes in my dreams
A psycho traumatic hypnotic scene
A mountain of dust to ponder
Over

On my own
Cast away
Trapped and caught in a dream
Darkened skies, tidal waves
But I am movin on

Well I’m blind
Reactions too late.
I’m behind
But catch me I’m movin on
And on…

On my own
Cast away
Trapped and caught in a dream
Darkened skies, tidal waves
But I am movin on

And on…

DEVOURMENT – FED TO THE PIGS

Posted in bands on February 28, 2010 by jfbangud

Gone, is, all reason
Pitch darkness drowns each season
Minds, fall, in despair
Stench of death filling the air
The pain surges swelling to release
Thoughts of mayhem flow so freely
Regard for life falls the way of apathy
Tearing souls apart, cursing divinity

Crimson dreams of what’s to be
Torn to shreds, Food for the pigs

Rage will lead temptation
Pain begets salvation
Slaughter will set our demons free
We’ll fuck this world dead
When they find the steal penetrate the walls of their cold being
Eyes stare cold and lifeless, empty souls fall to their knees
No emotion in this wraith as the bodies rid of fluid
The pigs born of the flames below, consume all that is green

Death to all that cross, tear out their beating heart, human gristle for the pigs
Death to all that cross, tear out their beating heart, human gristle for the pigs
Fall of all humanity, the violent end that was foreseen
The coming in the form of human plague

Gone, is, all reason
Pitch darkness drowns each day
Minds, fall, in despair
Stench of death filling the air

Rage will lead temptation
Pain begets salvation
Slaughter will set our demons free
We’ll fuck this filthy world dead to
End to cleanse to cease the disease
Fall to hell man’s fate will be
Rise will the beast a new dawn breeds
Seeds of hatred planted
Generations of bloodshed
Calling for a definitive end

this is one of my favorite songs in devourment’s new album that was released last year (2009) entitled UNLEASHED THE CARNIVORE. Devourment  have their new great sounds with new style of making the their track more brutal..

thank you… enjoy

my GORTUARY cd album

Posted in Uncategorized on January 11, 2010 by jfbangud

So the music of Gortuary sounds nothing like a gory Obituary as some might foolishly conjecture and is more in the vein of the uncompromising light-speed ultra-brutal death metal acts such as Disgorge, Unmerciful and Liturgy, bands that are never able to get the task done discreetly and always seem to be in a tearing hurry of some sort, brutally tossing people aside when they have the time and trampling on them when they don’t. Within moments of exposure to their music your brain will start seething and this can be felt by touching your moist forehead. But Gortuary don’t allow that to continue to the extent of you getting dehydrated and dropping on the ground out of weariness, and that they achieve through several ways. First, their music doesn’t go chug chug chug like a dumb idiot band. Second, even though they indulge in the now mandatory guitar wankery like their fellow Californian brutal bands, it sounds seriously pissed off and isn’t wholly inconsequential; at times their technical flourishes are even innovative and cool sounding. Furthermore, by imbibing qualities of Gorgasm, they are able to maintain some continuity and sense within that cacophony. Their riffs also seem to have an underlying Corpsegrinder Cannibal Corpse-esque buzzsaw property to them. Third, their brutal breakdowns are fucking massive and barbaric, sounding like Skinless panicking during their Godzilla moments. When Gortuary’s speeding brutal music switches to such parts, it is like your opponent in a street fight stopping his frenzied fist-flailing to look you in the eye for just long enough to fill him up with hatred and anger  and then with full backswings proceeding to clobber your face in, in a relatively slow but much, much more powerful manner.

Neatly wrapped and delivered in a blaring production with awesome overpowering growls sounding as though the vocalist is gurgling glass sand in his fucked up throat ensure that everything is fine and dandy for a brutal death metal album. However, not content with mere physical dominance, Gortuary go a step ahead and incorporate highly expressive leads into their brutal music. Starting off somewhat innocuously, the leads then pick up such a blistering Krisiun-like pace that your ears catch fire. Evidently, even during such breaks Gortuary wish to maintain their raging momentum and with extraordinarily maniacal drumming to aid that section, their wish remains fulfilled. It cannot be denied that the tedium of blasting contributes in no small way to make Manic Thoughts of Perverse Mutilation such a devastating album, but because it is a well thought out one, it surpasses the products of its like-minded brutal peers and even raises the standard of this sub-genre.

I have this cd last christmas december 25, 2009, from my friend.

thank you.. t(–,t)
